Achievements

We has been honoured with the “Environmental Award 2025” instituted by the Radiant Group. The award recognises our dedicated efforts over the past ten years in environmental conservation and in fostering compassion towards all living beings.

The award was presented at a ceremony held in Chennai, where MARC Secretary Dr. Roshnath Ramesh and Treasurer Rajesh Leo received the honour from Dr. Shashi Tharoor, MP. The event was led by Radiant Group founders Dr. Renuka David and Colonel David Devasahayam.

We have been selected for the prestigious Vanamithra Award 2022 by Kerala Forest and Wildlife Department. The governing body Members collected the award from Northern Circle Chief Conservator of Forest, Shri. D Vinod Kumar IFS, and a Citation from Jilla Panchayat Vice President Adv. Binoy Kuriyan.

MARC takes pride in having a team of reliable, honest and self motivated nature lovers who are passionate in achieving a common goal in protecting urban wildlife and nature.

MARC's recognitions and the success it has achieved so far is a tribute to the entire team.

We have won the Award for the Best Animal Welfare Organization conducted by Animal Husbandry Department, Govt. of Kerala in the year 2020. Our founder members receiving the award from Honorable Kannur Mayor Adv. T O Mohanan.

With the funding of State Wetland Authority Kerala (swak), MARC undertook and successfully completed the Faunal Survey in Katambally Wetland. The data was compiled as a book "Fauna of Kattampally” which was released by Hon. Minister Shri. E P Jayarajan on World Wetland Day 2nd Feb 2019.

Kerala Bird Atlas was the largest citizen science initiative in Kerala which aimed at mapping the distribution birds in the state. MARC along with Kerala Forest department, NGO’s and academic institutions has coordinated the survey in Kannur. The result of which is the book "AN ATLAS OF THE BIRDS OF KANNUR” which was released by District Collector, Kannur, Shri. Mir Muhammed Ali IAS in 2017.
